Influencer Marketing: who spends the most in the UK British brands love working with local influencer marketing agencies and as a result the sector has seen rapid growth in the UK. There are companies that prefer to adopt a do-it-yourself approach, building relationships with influencers gradually but it is difficult for the person identified to have a real interest in working with the company: only by relying on an agency will you be confident that the efforts will not go to waste. Another advantage of working with local agencies is the fact that these influencers know the market, the language, the consumer habits perfectly and choosing an international agency can lead to the influencer having no real following in the UK.
The Campaign Deus study on Influencer Marketing in the UK A study Find Your Phone Number shows that fashion is the sector that invests the most in paid posts, but fitness is also growing rapidly. The CampaignDeus tool recently conducted a survey of over 4,500 UK influencers, studying 700,000 posts from their Instagram accounts in the first half of 2018. The result? As many as ΒΌ of the branded posts sponsored by influencers were related to the fashion sector. Strangely, however, very low follower counts and engagement rates were identified. But which sectors invest the most in influencer marketing in the UK? 34 % of influencers' posts concern fashion , followed by 23% of posts dedicated to brands from the beauty world and 16% for food & drink.
However, the greatest growth in the first half of 2018 was recorded by the following market sectors: Fitness: 7.6% Travel: 4.4% Parenting: 3.5% Beauty: 2.9% Food&Drink: 1.7% Fashion: 1.4% Home and Garden: 1.3% Health: 0.4% Sharp decline , however, for the automotive sector which reports the greatest loss with -4%. It is also surprising how the engagement rate of sponsored posts is 11% lower than that of organic posts and this figure rises to 27% for the Beauty sector. The parenting sector is the only one in which this phenomenon does not occur. Furthermore, influencers who have fewer than 100,000 followers obtain engagement rates 60% higher than those with larger online followers.
